"Not a bad location. Close to broadway"

"The New Yorker is perfectly located, especially for those of us who travel by train. The hotel has been renovated, but retains a lot of the original Art Deco decor. The room rates are reasonable for the location and comfort level of the property. The room was quite spacious, as I was offered a very attractive upgrade. The bed was comfortable; blackout shades were helpful. The bathroom was adequate, though a walk-in shower upgrade would have been appreciated over the old cast iron bathtub. Housekeeping was exceptional."

"I had a great time and so did my dog :) it’s a very big hotel, easy to get lost but my dog and I enjoyed our stay! Staff are very friendly and helpful! Valet parking was super easy!"

"This was a very unfortunate experience. The room was filthy and was definitely not cleaned well from previous guests. The elevators were under construction so the lines were very long getting upstairs - 20 minutes to go up at one point. The staff denied the problem when it was addressed at checkout. "

"The location was great and the staff was friendly - those are the positives. It was very warm during our March visit and the rooms were too hot at night to sleep. I'm not sure what they do with the hot water but getting hot water during our showers was always a struggle. My wife said she smelled men's cologne on one of the two pillows on her side so she was confident they didn't (at minimum) change that pillow sheet. I have no clue why they don't simply raise their nightly rate rather than leaving you with a bad taste in your mouth when you pay their bogus 'urban fee'. If the bulk of the explanation for the fee is access to a gym that we didn't use, simply charge the people that actually use the gym. Just a thought...."

"This is such a convenient location for our Manhatten visit. Steps from Time Square close to the Theaters. Plenty of choices for food and entertainment. Convenient to use the public transportation."
