Independent Lincoln Square hotels

"Whenever we stay in Chicago, we always stay at the Congress Hotel and get a lakeview room. The Congress is not the most luxurious or fanciest but it has an old world charm you just don't find with new hotels. The room was nice and clean. The bed was not as comfortable as other rooms we have stayed in but still decent. "

"Nice hotel, good size room, nice rooftop bar. The windows are old and let in too much street noise and there are no filtered water fountains for filling a bottle so YAY lots of wasteful plastic bottles! (Apparently there is ONE in the gym whoopie!) "

"The staff were GREAT to me and my friend and made our stay VERY comfortable! Our room was cheap and when our tv was messed up in the first room, they moved us to another room! Breakfast was great and FREE! Very quiet! My only cons were I wish the room in the pool were a little bit more clean but other than that! PERFECT!!!"
