The Royal Park Canvas - Osaka Kitahama

The Royal Park Canvas - Osaka Kitahama

10/10 Excellent
"Osaka was the first stop on our 2-week trip to Japan. The Royal Park Canvas is centrally located in a quieter neighborhood within 5 minutes of the river, where there are walking paths, breweries and cafes overlooking the waterfront. It is also conveniently located subway service that connects to the rest of Osaka as well as the Keihan line, which goes directly to Kyoto's Gion station. As for the hotel itself, we booked the Deluxe twin room. It was clean, modern & met our needs perfectly. I especially appreciated the Japanese style bath. We were on the run everyday, so we did not make use of the gym and didn't visit the guest lounge until our last day - the gym appeared clean; small but serviceable. The guest lounge was spacious with free tea and water - I wish we had utilized it more during our stay! Additionally we did use the coin/card-op laundry - it works with Suica card or coins - and they were popular with all the other guests, too, so plan ahead & watch your in-room television to stay updated on unit availability. Note that Japanese washer/dryers take longer than American versions. last but not least, it was amazing to have a Family Mart downstairs - so convenient for a quick bite/drink on the run or late night snack! We loved our stay here & would gladly stay again."
