"This is a beautiful old building. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a view of the Alamo. Nice location for walking along the Riverwalk, only a couple blocks away. They do a very nice breakfast buffet and the staff is friendly and helpful, especially Jasmine. "

No complaints except the shower was lower so I feel like a tall person might have a hard time. Would definitely recommend and would use the hotel again!"

"Hotel Valencia has been the best hotel we’ve stayed at in San Antonio. Check in was fast and the front desk lady was very friendly. Hotel is clean, they give you a complimentary bottle of wine, staff was always friendly and ready to help. Highly recommend!"

"Room full of roaches and other small insects. There was spider web in a corner. The air conditioner is all rusted. Bad smell in room. Pictures on Expedia are very deceiving. Rooms looked clean in pictures, reality rooms are in deplorable state, old furniture, refrigerator very old and dirty, kitchen as well. Read reviews first before choosing this place. It was a nightmare going to bathroom at night or trying to sleep with bugs appearing all the time. Also once laying bed body started itching,...

"The Fairmount is an interesting place. The old building has been nicely renovated, the rooms are comfortable and the staff is attentive. The layout is odd, with no real reception or lobby area to speak of. The location is great, close to the River Walk, but construction was going on in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, making access complicated. They had valet set up which was helpful. The rooftop bar and on site restaurant are great amenities. "
