This was the first time I stayed at the Menger . It was very comfortable and right in the heart of the Alamo Plaza. The Alamo was a short walk across the street, shopping and fine dining all within a few minutes walk. The valet parking is a little expensive for me, but very convenient. They have a nice restaurant and bar downstairs, room service for the early morning breakfast in bed, and the first floor is like a little time capsule of this historic hotel. I'll come back in a future visit and stay a little longer

Hotel was really charming, I stayed with my two sons and they loved it as well. The pool area with the large scaled games were really nice, and next time we will take advantage of the pool area because it was so nice. We literally could walk a few steps away from the hotel and be inside the mall, which helped because we forgot a few clothing items. Also, there was dining near the mall, and attached to the hotel; very convenient. Everything is near there, so it was so convenient. The parking is easy because it is valet, and it's the same price no matter how often you come and go. Valet was also very quick. Everyone that worked there was very pleasant, and just helped out with a smile. I will definitely stay there each visit.

We always stay at the Menger when visiting San Antonio. It’s a beautiful, historic hotel very close the Riverwalk and great restaurants. And reasonably priced!

Unfortunately, I’m not sure if they had room renovations going or what but there was excessive noise coming from the bedroom above mine and it was all day. Also, early in the mornings they have the cleaning staff outside going full force and very loud. There is absolutely no way you can sleep in. Other than the not such a peaceful place to stay, the accommodations were what you would expect for the price.

Excellent choice for our stay. Everyone there went above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Menger bar top notch. Great food and drinks. Construction around the hotel was a little much. Alamo construction. Very centrally located for the Alamo and riverwalk. Highly recommended the Menger.

The Menger is a charming hotel in a convenient location. There was a lot of Alamo co instruction going on but it didn't impact our visit too much. The room was on the small side but the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot and had good water pressure.

Afther years of staing at this beatifull hotel this is the frist time I had this type of expireance with the staff they were rude and not of help at all to start at registration the lady that attended us was rude and very un profecional giving 6 ppl 1 room when we had paid for 2 room excusing her self by telling us she thougt the kids were sleeping in the floor sendond i order some room service that got to the room afther 3 hrs and I dont recall how many calls to try to get our food to the room and last but not least afther a 3 day stay and spending over $1500.00 in this hotel the valet parking was refucing to give my husband our vehicle keys because he did not recognice him from friday amd makeing us show proof of ownership of my truck.. this is our last time staing here

Our stay was great other than the vallet parking. We waited over an hour for our car to be ready and that was even before the 11 am checkout time. Finally went to ask for the second time and our keys were grabbed and said they would go get it when the app had already said it had been ready. Valley needs a better system.
