"This hotel was a trip highlight. Stunning building, easy parking and delicious breakfast. Huge bathroom and possibly the cleanest we have ever seen in a hotel. Fresh air, friendly staff and we would love to have stayed longer. Special hour out to the stocks in the kids playground. Love it!"

"Stayed for one night to break up a long drive back from Scotland, and so pleased we did. The location is wonderful, we had a lovely walk along the track just behind the building near the river. Beautiful countryside, very peaceful and interesting to see the remains of a roman bridge and Fort close-by. The room itself was excellent, and the whole place had real character, nice food at the resturant too. Finally thanks to the staff for beong friendly and welcoming, I would love to come back...

"The Highfield Hotel was clean and located to enable to get to the Stadium by bus easily. The breakfast order as confusing. We had paid for bed and breakfast but were only allowed 5 cooked items and were chared 50p for each additional item. The charge would be better in the cost of the hotel."
