What a great find, lovely setting. Just minutes from the motorway but felt like the middle of the countryside. All staff were very welcoming and keen to help. Food was very good, particularly breakfast. Only regret was we only stayed the 1 night.

It was pleasant enough. The staff we encountered were really friendly. The decor is a bit dated. Smelt a bit fusty … but it’s an old building so what do you expect. Lovely grounds. I struggled to sleep as the bed was too soft for me (personal preference). Not sure I’d stay again but did the job for the evening.

Just stayed one night so didn't use amenities or facilities. Room was basic but what we needed for the one night. Spacious family room with plenty of tea and milk provided, however was in an old building so needs an upgrade and a deep clean - lots of cobwebs.

Good room and breakfast. Evening meals were also good although the menu was a bit limited. Staff were always polite helpful and friendly. The buildings and grounds looked amazing, although we noticed some remedial work was needed here and there. Overall a good and quiet place to stay tucked away in the countryside. Very good value for money.

Having booked on Expedia a Double Deluxe was purchased however the person on reception wanted extra for a room and was told the only room available was a twin room being Room 6. It was not a nice room with sloping floor in the bedroom and bathroom. Rather disappointed as over the years I have colleagues who have stayed. Would return but would insist on getting the room I had purchased.

Never known a hotel where you have to be out at 7:30am. Went out to get breakfast at the local services got back to the room about 7:45 to find the cleaner was in there and stripped the room out. It was a good job I decided to put my bag in the car before as I guess it would have been thrown out!!!
