I booked this hotel because it was close to airport and offered a free shuttle. We were at end of our trip and were going to be fly back home soon. I didn't expect much, but I was rather surprised at the hospitality of the staff. We met a couple friends for a late dinner the night we got in, and we were impressed how good the food was. We also liked walking around, and not feeling like we were in a tourist mecca. Mainly locals, so prices we're much more affordable (than say, Las Ramblas). It's also about a 7-10 minute walk to train/subway station, so it's easy to get to main sights. Make sure you add the Continental Breakfast when booking, for small charge, otherwise it's not automatically included and you pay more.

Only 15mins walk to centre. 2 mins to metro. Javier on desk even upgraded our room. So friendly and polite. Reading past reviews made us unsure but it definately was an excellent place. Only thing was that shower was see through glass which would have been issue staying with friend but was with my husband so no issues
