"Very cute boutique hotel! I really appreciated the art and little touches throughout. All the staff were super friendly, warm, and welcoming! Communication was prompt—the hotel reached out right after I made my reservation to confirm my ETA and ask if I needed to book a shuttle.
Shout-out to the front desk team, especially Vincente and João, for their excellent recommendations on places to eat and visit, and for making accommodations to store my luggage and insulin. "DoubleTree Lagoa is truly amazing. The hotel front office staff were so kind and accomodating. The location was wonderful since it was a short drive to most destinations. As we were staying during the first week in Septemer, the outdoor pool was also open. It was beautiful as well as the bar/lounge area. We ate lunch one afternoon near the pool and it was truly relaxing. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day, lots of local cheese and bread. Love it when a hotel highlights their agricultural roots. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel in Lagoa."
"Our stay at the Grand Hotel Açores Atlântico was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and even assisted with valet parking, which made everything so easy. Everyone we met was professional and friendly, but a special thank you goes to Ines at the front desk. She welcomed us with a smile, helped us get settled, and went above and beyond to arrange restaurant reservations and recommend things to see and do around the island. We also had the pleasure of chatting with the manager, who was extremely personable and genuinely interested in making sure guests were enjoying their stay. His approachability and warm conversation added to the overall welcoming atmosphere.
Our room was very comfortable, and the view overlooking the marina was absolutely beautiful — waking up to it each morning was unforgettable. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety, and the hotel’s location made it easy to explore Ponta Delgada on foot.
This was my first time in São Miguel, and it will definitely not be my last. We would absolutely choose this hotel again when we return."
"One of nicest hotels that i stayed.
Originally I booked room with out terrace, but without any problem i was given room with terrace looking over pool area.
Food is excellent, breakfast was delightful, great choice of hot and cold food.
Restaurant is serving lunch and dinner and choice is good.
Rooms are good size with nice bathroom.
Overall hotel is in excellent condition,5 minutes from harbour and lot of restaurants in walking distances.
Only little thing is there is not enough parking spaces it first come first served.

Try for a room with a view as there is no outside amenity area. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice plus an la carte menu.
