「The Rock Guest House is a beautiful, well maintained facility. They served a wonderful continental breakfast and since we had to check out early, they provided us with a breakfast to go! Getting to the port was easy - just walk down the road. Going back was good exercise if you enjoy a gentle climb. We highly recommend it.」

「It was OK hotel but nothing more. I will not return for several reasons described below. Our background: retired, in our 60-s, traveling a lot around the world. Positive first: good location, beautiful building from outside, good water pressure, adequate AC, parking, free drinking water, pleasant staff. 「We liked the private hot tub, especially since the weather was too cold to swim. The room had a kitchenette, which we appreciated since there's no room service and it was 20 minute walk to town. A car is definitely needed for Sao Miguel. The room was cleaned very well, but people aren't very careful and we could see stains on the sofa even though the hotel is relatively new.
