We have stayed here 4x now and always have a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful, the natural products they stock are lovely, and the restaurant is good. Staff is friendly. I definitely The only small inconvenience is that the kids club is not always open (it was closed 2 of the times we stayed). I travel alone with my kid so I always put a message about it in the booking notes. I wasn’t told it would be closed / could not go to the spa because the kids club was not open. I realize that’s a rather unique circumstance and it doesn’t reflect badly on the property, but if you plan on using the kids club, I would get in touch well in advance to confirm it will be open when you plan on using it.

The breakfasts were so delicious and the rooms were spacious. The host was also great and we felt well cared for. They had a library of DVDs which was a great for a cozy night at home after a long day of skiing. We all want to return !

Perfect oasis

This was our first hotel on the island, and our favorite! The hotel is just the perfect oasis, a small boutique hotel with infinity pool, hot tub inside a pineapple greenhouse, two restaurants, and a rooftop bar. Very accommodating for children, will definitely stay again when we come back!

Every interaction felt warm, attentive, and genuinely caring — the team here elevates the entire stay and makes you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. One of the standout highlights was the Asian‑fusion restaurant. The dishes were creative, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. It’s easily one of the culinary gems of the property and absolutely worth experiencing during your stay. The amenities throughout the hotel are thoughtfully designed, and the surrounding nature is simply breathtaking. The lush greenery, peaceful atmosphere, and overall setting make it a perfect place to unwind. The outdoor pool is especially lovely — modern, refreshing, and set against a gorgeous natural backdrop. There are, however, a few areas where the spa and gym facilities could be improved. The spa would benefit from: • A hotter sauna and a proper steam room • Warmer showers • A rest area that feels cozier, as it was a bit chilly These enhancements would bring the wellness experience up to the same high standard as the rest of the property. Overall, Senhora da Rosa is a beautiful retreat with outstanding staff, delicious dining, and a serene natural environment. We had the pleasure of staying 10 nights at Senhora da Rosa with half board - and we immensely enjoyed both the delicious food at both restaurants and the lovely pool and spa facilities. Despite visiting in november, well out of the vacation season, we lacked for nothing: everyone were extremely polite and acommodating and we had a great time. We will be recommending this hotel to anyone considering visiting the Azores!
