"Our stay at Octant Furnas was exceptional from beginning to end. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, the food was excellent, and the location is perfect for exploring the Furnas area.
What impressed me most, however, was the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay memorable.
The highlight came on my birthday. Throughout the day, several staff members wished me a happy birthday, which was a thoughtful touch. Later that evening, I mentioned it to one of the staff members and asked how everyone seemed to know. He smiled and explained that they share that information among the team so they can make guests feel special.
Then he surprised me even more. He said, "You were in Ribeira Quente today." When I asked how he knew that, he laughed and said, "You walked past my house, and I thought, 'I know that guy!'" It was such a genuine and personal moment that perfectly captured the warmth and hospitality of the people of the Azores."
