「Sao Miguel is small enough that you can choose one accommodation centrally located and drive the whole island. Verde Mar and Spa offers ocean views overlooking a beautiful surf beach. Included breakfast is great and in house dining is convenient after a day of touring the island. Ribeira Grande is quaint without the urban cluster of P. Delgado. The 20 minute drive to the north side of the island is certainly worth it.」

「Staff were very friendly and helpful, they even had gluten free bread options for me at breakfast and made me avocado toast on gluten free toast. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean and the pool and spa was clean and quiet.」

The shower walls were made of wood which were molding all around the bottom due to moisture, this was not something I would expect from a hotel of this caliber.
