"To start this hotel is extraordinary, the location is key if you want to explore Chicago. There is a Starbucks conveniently located outside and the grocery store across the street as well as multiple restaurants down the block. I would definitely rebook and consider this hotel as my first pick any other trip to Chicago. Personally I love pool activities and it seems dislocation many of the guests go out and so the pool is pretty private if you say so."

Suggested that Cerise not reserve all the tables ... we went up two evenings at 5:00 p.m. before going out for the night and the couch areas were all set with reserve signs... we understand if there are reservations but they sat empty the whole time we stood there... for an hour or so. Otherwise, we thought Virgin was wonderful and an amazing location!"

"Wow! That's all I can say! But, I'm going to find the words to say more, because this hotel and its great staff deserve it! I booked this hotel a while ago for my husband's surprise birthday vacation. It was a total of 6 of us, I love IHG! This one is definitely 1 of the top locations that I've visited in the past 15 to 20 years. I'm talking conveniently easy to locate, and very kind staff. Everyone, from the door person to registration staff, to the cleaning staff was so courteous all the time! They speak when they see you. They hold doors, and they answer questions! Our first great experience was with Shay and Andrew. We arrived a little early, a little too early to check in, and was told that they sold out the previous evening, and there would be a wait to check in. These 2 individuals were very helpful with allowing us to store our luggage and provided great recommendations for things to do while we await our room. Their enthusiasm and personality were top-tier. And to be honest, they looked great! They were the perfect representation of what I want to see when visiting a business. This dynamic duo spoke very well, provided great professional, genuine, kind service. These guys are gems! Management, make sure these two get anything they want and everything they deserve to keep them representing IHG. I've written so much about the staff, I forgot to mention the décor during my stay! The décor was amazing! 5 Star Stay!! Highly recommended !!"

"Hotel is old, but very clean good location and friendly staff. I was stayed there one night. Parking is $62.00 overnight, so I was parked my car somewhere else cost $27.00 and breakfasts cost close to $25.00 per person which is not included in your hotel reservation. Overall hotel is ok great location."

"First I want to thank everyone that worked at this property. They were professional, friendly and always went above and beyond for me. This hotel is centrally located downtown. You will definitely get what’s expected when staying in this type of location. The hotel is well kept and the staff was amazing. What really set the tone for me was I was checking out waiting for my Lyft driver to arrive and so many homeless people were coming up to me and my friend at 4:30 in the morning going to the airport. One of the staff members came out made himself visible and I didn’t even notice because I was so frustrated with the Lyft driver that couldn’t find me. He waited with us until the driver got to the hotel helped load my luggage into the car and made sure we safe leaving the hotel. I thought that was amazing because he didn’t have to but he did. I want to say thank you that gentleman and the staff at this property for helping make my stay safe and friendly. "
