「This is the second time we have stayed at the Grand Dunes. We were there one year ago, liked the property and returned this year. It had an old time style from the lobby to the rooms. This year we found the room to be quite neglected. The items we noted were as follows: The shower door would not close and had about a 6" gap. The iron had the pointed end broken completely off. 「Excellent property the only issues we had was with the shower in the primary bathroom not draining properly and the ceiling fan in the primary bedroom not functioning properly. We didn’t stay long so it wasn’t a huge issue as the ac was adequate and the shower was the worse the last day of our stay.」

「The rooms are privately owned, and the hotel is nice, but the rooms are outdated. They were clean but need to be upgraded. We booked 17 rooms for a party, and all of our guests had complaints about the rooms. They had to change several rooms. For the price, I would stay at a different hotel when we go back next year.」

「The resort was great - pool and beach are awesome - slides are fun. Our actual condo unit needs work. Brighton 707. Washer dryer - washer sounds like a rocket ship taking off when it runs, and the dryer burnt a bunch of clothes. Kitchen was very poorly stocked. No baking wear at all - not even a cookie sheet. Floors were very dirty and turned feet black - so needs to be cleaned better.」

「I loved the location and it was very easy to get around and close to tons of attractions as well as the beach. The hotel was very clean and I really loved that and staff were very attentive to our guest needs. The only thing that I did not like were the stairs to get up to the second level as it would not be ideal for elderly visitors.」

「The Staff were kind, friendly and professional. They remembered our names and were exceptionally hospital. The hotel's grounds, rooms, and lobby were modern decor with spacious seating and viewing areas. We would surely recommend the hotel to all travelers who want to stay at a location that's classy, affordable, and close to the attractions that Myrtle Beach has to offer.」

「While understaffed, the limited crew was very friendly and accommodating. I wish we were able to take advantage of the onsite pool, but we were informed at check-in that the pool was currently “down” or “closed”. The building is a little dated and could use some upgrades. Breakfast was great!」
