"This boutique resort is the top we've ever been to (it rates very high globally and its for a very good reason). My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary there and we were treated like royalty. The staff was amazing, the food was amazing, the place was so beautiful, romantic, exquisite and unique. The beach was lovely and I'm sure to go back soon with our whole family. "Overall had a good experience staying here but my room was so far from the restaurants and was a great deal of walking. It was hard to get a drink at the swim up bar but they do an incredible job at cleaning up and keeping things in order. Very friendly and helpful staff. I did not like that there was not more fans or AC in areas of the hotel. It made it almost unbearable at times. I also think that there should be more maps around the hotel to help you navigate it and I found some shortcuts that I wish I would’ve known sooner. I think they should have more communication and signs to point you in the right direction of where you need to go."

"My family and I ( husband and three grandkids) had a wonderful stay at Barcelo Maya and it surpassed all our expectations! We stayed in the Tropical area and all facilities were easy to access to by pathways or by shuttle. Pools are beautiful and each one has its own all inclusive bar. The kids area is right in the middle by the pools so it easy to watch your kids from the pools. The beach is right behind the pools and has plenty of palm trees if you want shade while sitting or lying on the lounge chairs. The all inclusive buffet was just marvelous! Plenty of options for everyone, spacious dinning rooms and attentive servers! There are many amenities for the whole family to be entretenied during the day and night. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and kept clean daily. Beautiful gardens with some lizzards that is fun to spot on while walking with the kids. We would love to come back definetly!!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this home and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Puerto Aventuras. The house was spacious, very clean, and extremely well maintained. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and truly felt like a home away from home. One of our favorite things about staying in Puerto Aventuras is the location itself. The community feels very safe and offers plenty of restaurants, shops, and conveniences, so there’s really no need to leave the complex if you don’t want to. The home features a beautiful backyard with a great pool, which was perfect for relaxing and spending time with family. Overall, this was an excellent property, and we would gladly stay here again on our next trip to Puerto Aventuras."

"Great stay for the money. It’s on the harbor side but there’s public beach access within walking distance. The hotel provides free bikes if walking isn’t your thing. Rooms are clean and have a typical hotel layout. The patio is equipped with a hammock and a beach lounger. There’s a small pool to cool off in. There’s a small bridge across the edge of the lagoon that forms a pool inside the property with fish. The restaurant is everything waffles (even a burger waffle). Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! Food has chef vibes! I recommend renting a golf cart for shopping and access to more restaurants. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Coconut bar is about 1/4 mile away. Cheers!"

"My only criticism would be that all the restaurants had been booked up the entire week we were there from the moment we got there, leaving the only option as the buffet. The pools also closed oddly early even for a family friendly resort. The staff were excellent though! Enjoyed our stay regardless!"
