"Central heating in Eve’s cottage was not working, temperature was only 15 degrees C so we had to use the 2 electric oil-filled heaters to try to warm it up, by 11pm it was comfortable!"

"Good Overall, but some area's need improvement. We are in our mid 70's and the room we were given was on the 1st floor . It was difficult getting our suitcases up a flight of stairs as there is no lift and no assistance was offered. While we were there we found the staff to be polite but we were unable to get through by phone on several occasions prior to our arrival as no one answered the telephone. "

"Lovely stay at the Suite Balfour Brut Rose room. Very spacious. Luxurious feel, clean and the bed, beddings and mattress very very good, comfortable and clean. Full english breakfast also good. The roast dinner can be improved, taste-wise but overall we had a lovely stay. Thank you to the staffs who attended to us. Special mention to Hannah. "

"This was a night away for my wife and I. We thought the facilities and room were perfect for us. The hotel was in good repair but retained its period charm. The staff could not have been more helpful. Service in the restaurant was very attentive, and the breakfast was excellent. The quality of the food served up in the evening didn't quite live up to the high quality of the rest of our stay, but it was perfectly pleasant."

"Nice hotel, some communal areas bit shabby. Radio music in bar and restaurant way too loud, need to consider more muted music and preferably not the radio. Spa small but well maintained. Another customer on facetime in jacuzzi! Maybe notices about not using phones. Staff in all areas very friendly. "

"It was serene, quiet and secluded. Loved the historical component to the property (owned by the BBC and used during WWII). The breakfast was excellent BTW. The staff were friendly, courteous and professional. "
