「The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The only two issues I had were minor. The dryer in the guess laundry room was horribly loud and the pool was a little on the chilly side.」

「We love Portsmouth--so walkable, such interesting galleries and restaurants and more. And we always stay at the Hotel Portsmouth. Great location, free parking, great rooms, great breakfast. This time we paid a little extra for the upgrade to a Superior King and felt it was well worth it. Even though we're just two people, the extra room--and two separate seating areas--mattered a lot.」

「I ended up in the hospital for two nights. I was booked for just one. They held my things for the. Extra night. I am on disability. They didn't charge me. I so appreciated that. A beautiful hotel」

「My only surprise was that parking was not included, it was an additional $45 which I thought was high for the price I paid for the room. The only other complaint is the room was much more than I needed, included a full kitchen and all I needed was a room with a bed.」

「Love everything! From the beautiful retro room to the heated floors in the bay to the comfy bed. We love the decor and we need some relaxing time. Wife and I wish it was warmer to see the property and water views but it was cold! Maybe we come back in the summer 」

「We had a wonderful time staying at Hotel Thaxter! The location was perfect for walking around Portsmouth, plenty of local shops and restaurants around. The staff was very helpful and provided some great recommendations. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again if we travel to Portsmouth. 」

「Excellent hotel! Breakfast is good. They even provide light dinner for free! Room is big with kitchen! Must stay next time! Parking is an issue, but I travel with a residence friend here. It is not an issue to me.」

「Room was beautiful and the location was great. Contactless which I wasn't sure about but was great. Easy code to get into the building and our room and check out was just as easy. Lovely Tea/Coffee bar with snacks. Will stay here again.」
