「Beautifully kept old style hotel. Great woodwork natural light, sitting rooms with fireplaces. Rooms are clean and well maintained, nice breakfast/ buffet. Excellent location」

「We had a wonderful visit everyone was so nice they had 3 parking options the room was beautiful and so clean ! Super comfortable bed also! Breakfast was also super nice got to try new things! So close to everything downtown we walked everywhere 」

「This was my second time staying at the Sailmakers House and I will definitely continue to come back on all my visits to Portsmouth! The building and rooms are clean, cozy and quiet. The location is absolutely perfect for enjoying everything downtown Portsmouth has to offer, food, shopping, and sightseeing. 10/10 would recommend!」

「Great location near downtown and Jimmy’s Jazz Club and restaurants. 10:00 PM seemed a little early for the bar to close on a Thursday night but the bartender let us buy our drinks and sit at a table in the lobby. 」
