"The Long Creek Hotel is a good place to stay. It is close to the Maine Mall and also South Portland. It used to be a Hampton Inn and is being remodeled into a Hilton. Clean rooms, a pool, an exercise room, and a friendly staff. The hotel is being updated and in some places is a little threadbare. Nice staff, decent self service breakfast, and close to things. Reasonable winter rates. A good place to stay. "
