「We enjoyed our overnight at Lamie's. We stayed in the older section and the brick wall and 4 poster beds added a homey, authentic feel to the vibe of the Old Salt Tavern next door. Beds comfortable, room clean. The rooms & bathroom are a little small but perfect if your plan doesn;t include spending lots of time in your room. We came to visit friends in the area and had lunch and dinner at the Old Salt which was really convenient to just come downstairs rather than having to drive somewhere...

「Their room assignment system was broken and they were understaffed. The staff did their best but they did not have sufficient help. Once we were in it was great with no issues.」

「The location of this property was great, on the perimeter of downtown Portsmouth which is a wonderful little city. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, both for good selection and the taste. My biggest complaint is that it was very noisy in my room. The AC unit is the loudest I've ever heard. A few times I thought it was a nearby train when it started running. Also the people in the room above me woke me up at 1 AM doing something. I didn't hear voices...

「The hotel could use a little updating but the room was very clean and in a perfect spot. You can travel to Portsmouth or Kittery all within 10 minutes. Pool area was nice too. We didn’t have breakfast, but saw a lot of people enjoying it.」

「Parking was easy which is a plus especially in a city like portsmouth. The town is extremely walkable so we didn't have to use the car again until we left. The staff was friendly and attentive. They asked what kind of coffee we wanted and even cleaned our room which included changing the towels. If we come back to portsmouth, I would definitely stay her again」

「The employee John who checked us in was very friendly, kind and helpful. The other two men I encountered at the desk were lazy and would not even look up. My bedding was badly stained. When I asked for new bedding there was no apology / he just wrote it down on a paper and didn’t respond. My replacement bedding was left on the dirty floor of the hall. There is no breakfast area, only coffee.」
