「My friend and I just wanted to get away for the night! So we only stayed one night but we hung out on the hot tub made friends and had a blast! The hotel is great. I didn’t have the breakfast cause I slept in. The shower is awesome. The water pressure was amazing. I didn’t give it a five stars just because five would be perfect」

The location is perfect: the Thaxter is in the heart of the old port city and you are surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, good restaurants and interesting shops. 「Really quaint motel with a kind of rustic feel. Not to far from downtown or the navy base.」

「I took my son and his friend for a belated birthday celebration. Our original trip was postponed due to a big snowstorm. When we arrived the staff was genuine and welcoming. At dinner the waitress was unbelievable. Kind, attentive AND when we said we were celebrating my son’s belated birthday and his friends birthday (the day prior) she surprised them with the most decadent chocolate cake. Our meals were delicious and we were so impressed with how special the server made the boys feel. 」
