"We were looking forward to staying for 5 nights in the quiet valley of Hermigua but found the hotel to be very noisy with poor soundproofing between rooms. We had a room next to family with young children who screamed the place down so much we asked to move rooms but the noise carried throughout the building as well as other guests meeting in bedrooms chatting till late so not a restful stay. "A quirky hotel room with a spiral staircase from room door and bathroom up to the bedroom. Excellent location for the town centre, restaurants and paths up the mountains. Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Beware there is another hotel called Triana on the other side of town which caught us out (OK, one is Hotel Rural Triana, the other is Aparthotel Triana, but when you only have the name Triana in your head.....)"

"This is a beautiful, rustic hotel in a wonderful town in the mountains. It’s simple, but comfortable. The terrace is wonderful and I loved the many plants decorating each corner of the hotel. Make sure to have a working phone and ask for the owner’s phone number beforehand, in case you don’t find any instructions when you arrive. Everything worked perfectly for us, but several guests were locked out and we had to let them in and help them connect to the owner upon their arrival. Ask for a room on the ground floor if you have physical restrictions or difficulties climbing stairs."
