"My family and I stayed at the resort for 6 days. Everything was great!! We booked through the Expedia and we got room upgrade, we had the lagoon view and they put us at the room with a beach front view … room was very clean, they clean the rooms 2x a day … never had this before … we had 24 hours room service which was pretty fast, staff was very helpful and kind everywhere we go. Pool was nice, lots of space, we went in April, so it wasn’t full of people… they have nice restaurant, food was great, one of the best hotel/resort food we had experience… the only thing I would say could be better was the drinks, not the taste, but the amount of alcohol, we felt we were drinking juice, but in our last day we started to order a shot on the side and we solved the problem. Next time I know what to do. I highly recommend to other people."

"The riu ventura was great, super clean, friendly staff and stiff drinks if you wanted them. The only complaint I have was the food. I was always able to find something to eat at the buffet but the food was not the highlight of the trip. This next part has nothing to do with Riu but I booked my vacation with expedia and that was a nightmare. First of all my flight got canceled and no one notified me. I only learned of it when I went to check into my flight roughly 18 hours before I was set to leave. So I had to purchase last minute tickets that cost $2000.00 practically doubling the cost of my trip. So with my original flight, I was supposed to be in cancun by 9 a.m but because I had to buy different tickets, I didn't land until 10 p.m loosing a full day of vacation. I also had rented my car through expedia and because I was not there at 9 a.m and arrived at 10 p.m I lost my car rental. I was not refunded any money and had to pay for another car rental. But I guess im somewhat responsible for that beings I didn't call and let them know I was going to be late but I figured as long as I arrived the same day that I was supposed to, everything would be fine... I was wrong. So in short, screw expedia."
