Professional staff, great food options, right in the town centre and near major groceries, usually open till 8pm. Cons: I find the mattress too firm for my taste. Ok if you like it. "The hotel was lovely. It’s a really nice hotel, great location being in the centre of Lyndhurst but surprisingly ample parking too, behind the hotel. Staff were really helpful and attentive. Peter at the front desk and Danielle in the restaurant and bar stood out the most due to their friendliness and attentiveness. Our room was a little tired, could do with some general paint and decorating. Otherwise the bed was very comfortable, all very clean and a large room. Would definitely visit...

"The hotel is really close to The Historic Dockyard, the reason for our visit and had a vacancy. The room was great, lovely comfortable bed with good quality bedding and towels. The en-suite was compact but modern and clean. We had a harbour view looking at HMS Warrior and although right on the road with the trains and buses nearby the room was really quiet. "The hotel is a striking and unusual building, very handsome, though we would have appreciated better signs - the rooms in the 400s, which had to be accessed through the library, were difficult to find when first arriving. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the location of the hotel, near the seafront sights (the Mary Rose museum, Nelson's flagship Victory, etc) and the ferry ports. Everything clean and well maintained."
