"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. "Excellent hotel. Very attentive staff and always someone who could speak English. Fantastic breakfast options with both Japanese and Westerns styles. We stayed 8 nights and did not get tired of the breakfast options. Room was spacious. Bathroom and room amenities plentiful. Very clean. Superior laundry service if you want to pay for it."

"This hotel was amazing. It is old, but you feel like you are staying in a part of history. Everyone was very nice and the breakfast was amazing. We loved the true Japanese breakfast. We will stay at this hotel again when we go back to Kyoto. There is a wonderful pizza place around the corner as well. "
