Biwako Grand Hotel
The Hotel's shuttle picked us up at the train station. There's not too much within walking distance. We splurged for the delux room with private onsen. It was fun to have a suite with classic Japanese flair ... bamboo floor mats, sliding panel paper doors, etc. Nice view of the lake.

Smile Hotel Otsu Seta
Not the best hotel, pictures don’t do justice, the building itself is in poor condition the bed and pillow really uncomfortable. Will not be staying there again and it is too far from tourist attractions.
