"Fantastic hotel, excellent location. Plenty of sights to walk to and theres a tram station and bus stops all within a five minute walk. Breakfast is utterly delicious, rooftop bar a delight. Staff polite and helpful. Ultra clean everywhere"

"It was a nice little Place for what I needed. I spent most of the time traveling around but it was good for a place to sleep and shower. The breakfast was good early in the morning and they do offer Dinner too but I did not take advantage because of the good food in Japan."

"Toyoko Hotels are usually great. They are clean, convenient, and affordable, and they tend to have lots of useful amenities or people who might have forgotten to bring something like a toothbrush or razor. This particular hotel has a really convenient location that's a short walk from several train stations and from a couple of very charming and pleasant shopping arcades. Miidera (三井寺) and Lake Biwa (琵琶湖) are also manageable walks. Otsu is a lovely and underrated city, and this hotel is in a really nice part of the city."

"A very decent ryokan with beautiful public hot spring and sauna. Good amenities. Very nice private onsen with a view to Lake Biwa. Free pre dinner drinks and snacks."
