"Very relaxed stay. Short walk from station or book a taxi for a small fee if you have luggage. Ruriko-in temple and Mt Hiei cable car station is very close with lots of hiking and walking trails. "Great hotel in an ideal location. A staff member met us and took us to our room to check us in. The unit had two bedrooms and a large living room area for eating and television. Beautiful room. Great location next to a scenic temple. We had the breakfast in our room. It was tasty and a reasonable price. I highly recommend it! "

"What a beautiful experience we had at the ryokan. A perfect setting overlooking the lake, quiet, no noise from the town below. The staff was very kind and courteous, always helpful in assisting us with our questions. We learned about Japanese culture and had a wonderful experience; definitely get the dinner, it was worth it. I highy recommend this place, 10 out of 10. We will certainly be back again next time we visit Japan. "
