"The Campanile suited our purposes insofar as its situation. We were able to park the car safely and easily and take the bus into La Rochelle. We had a prob with the air conditioning which was promptly rectified/change of room and offer of one free breakfast. The room itself was spotlessly clean but a bit Spartan and the view from the window was poor. "

"I was travelling with two small dogs and a car full of stuff for my house rental. The hotel was safe and the garden was fabulous for the dogs. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful. I had a great room and the restaurant at the hotel was excellent. All in all it was a great overnight stay and I may very well go back there on my return. "

"Perfect place to stay to explore La Rochelle. In the heart of the old town and surrounded by restaurants, cafes and shops. A small supermarket is located nearly next door. Walking distance from the train station - less tha. 5 minute flat walk. Friendly staff, clean room with large comfortable bed. Good bathroom. Excellent breakfast available which we had both mornings. Only downside is there was no kettle in the room to be able to make a hot drink."

"The room was very nice, friendly staff and the breakfast was wonderful. Location is excellent too. Our only complaint is the smell of the fish garbage from the adjoining restaurant that wafts into the hotel lobby. It’s not the hotel’s responsibility but they need to work out a solution with the restaurant owner or the hotel is likely to lose customers. "

"The staff were so helpful and extremely friendly. They also booked a restaurant reservation for us and couldn’t have been nicer. We booked a room with sea view and balcony,room was spacious and nicely decorated and the bed was so comfortable (queen size). A couple of small issues,toilet is quite small and we had a problem with it flushing during our last night if we were staying longer I am sure it would have been fixed promptly as the staff were extremely helpful as I mentioned. "Nice hotel in a great location. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Rooms are smaller than they look in the photos, bathroom quite cramped - but not really a downside if you’re out sightseeing all day. Complementary soft drinks in the room were a nice touch and very much appreciated. "

"Lovely stay, great rate on the room. Spa facilities were good but decor felt a bit unfinished - maybe it’s not finished I’m not sure. Service was impeccable and front of house were very helpful in particular. Free parking on the street and in the hotel parking lot. Great stay. "

"We stayed for one night at this property. Great location with free parking close by. A good base for exploring La Rochelle. Would stay again but mattress not very comfortable and first hotel I have ever stayed in where they ask you to take your rubbish out yourself. It served a purpose and the bottles of water and sweets were a nice touch. "

"We booked the junior suite and it was very comfortable and roomy. Was not expecting to see individual plastic toiletries which were fairly basic- no shower cap. Was expecting glasses for drinking instead of paper cups. Glasses were provided upon request. Plugs in sinks not working and reported. Shame there was no tea/ coffee provided in room as with other French hotels. Staff were excellent and really helpful in all areas of our stay. Perfect location for the old harbour. "
