「A genuinely great hotel with beautiful and clean buildings, superlative staff (especially the front desk staff, especially Menard). It seems like every year New Orleans seems to decay a little more, with a lack of pride for the city by its residents and visitors. It’s a shame that such a treasure keeps getting dirtier every year. But Hotel Peter and Paul is, in my opinion, the best small hotel in the city.」

「I want to discourage everyone from staying at the Royal Frenchman… in order to keep this place to myself! Don’t stay here if want a modern hotel, with many modern amenities, lacking in character and charm. Don’t stay if colorful staff with a passion for the music of New Orleans ( which they bring nightly to the hotel lobby or courtyard) is not your thing.
