No Lift to this room which is not in the court yard as per the pictures if you have cases good luck getting up there we left our bags in the car. the aircon was so noisy you could not have it on. the position was not bad. would i stay again absolutely not

hotel needs updates

This hotel is all about location. walking distance to everything you want to experience about French Quarter.--- Fresh Market, Frenchmen Street (which I loved- music, dancing, great restaurants). Bourbon Street (not so much- unless you're one of the young, obnoxious drunks), I would say this hotel would be a gem if the rooms were updated. a little paint and caulk would go a long way. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets had stains and holes. The tub and shower curtain had mildew, otjherwise clean. I didn't complain since the staff was nice and I was only there for two nights. I chose this hotel because of the location, price compared to other boutique hotels in the area and the nostalgia of it. However, if I had known the condition, I would have paid more to be completely satisfied. The bakery across the street was divine. I always look at reviews but have never actually done one. Hope this helps!

The property is conveniently located in the French Quarter. Easy walk to many points of interest and easy access to the streetcar lines(just a few blocks away by foot). The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the local areas. We arrived early and were able to secure our luggage in a locked closet.

Hotel stay at Villa Conveto was great. We loved the hotel. The rooms were good, clean. Beds & pillows were comfy. Courtyard was pleasant. Everything was so beautiful! Very friendly staff at check in and check out!! A great location. Areas for improvement -- the locks on our doors did not seem secure, chain lock was flimsy. No bolt in our room. The paint was peeling in the bathroom ceiling. Heard it's going to be renovated soon and hope they keep the uniqueness, & old charm& character.

The hotel is in the French Quarter, so it is an old building. It has some paint pealing from the ceilings and walls, and the floor creeks. The two-person elevator is very slow. However, the staff is great and loction is good - far enough away from the craziness of Bourbon street, but close enough to enjoy the entire Quarter. There is a cafe across the street for breakfast coffee and resturants 2-3 minutes stroll away.

The room was extremely comfortable and quiet. Water pressure and hot water were great (always a consideration in the French Quarter). Wonderful location for our favorite restaurants and the Riverfront Streetcar.

The complimentary coffee was amazing. The staff always greeted us with a smile and conversation. Loved the quiet little courtyard. It was far enough from the main Bourbon street noise but convenient enough to walk everywhere. I would definitely stay there again.

On the edge of the French Quarter, this is a great spot and a quiet area for a nice stay in New Orleans. Some things are dated, but more charming than annoying. I’d definitely stay here again when I visit the Big Easy.

Like most of New Orleans the hotel is old and full of character. The rooms are clean with strong window unit A.C. The bathroom is spotless and updated. The toiletries are pleasant. The lobby has tastey Community Coffe and assorted teas to be drank in hotel room,lobby,or a plant filled court yard. Across the lazy,quiet street is a yummy bakery filling the area with sweet aromas.The court yard with plants,outside balcony,stairway,old brick flooring and black wrought iron setting so totally New Orleans! I love it. A three block walk to French Quater is a great way to view how the locals live. Small alleys with small apts,apts stacked 3 high with balconies filled with ferns and other beauties, and a common lobby. One the same street a refurbished mansion can found usually with a brass plaque explaining the original owner's whom were prominent citizens when the house was built. The location is perfect. Off the beaten path but close to many attractions. Easy parking. Good value for a comfortable stay
