This is a wonderful boutique hotel with great staff! Ms. Elaine was so welcoming and kind. Great area in the middle of everything, but also out the way. Book it! You will be very pleased.

Housekeeping left my door wide open all day while I was gone. I was not happy, and when I complained to the front desk they just made excuses saying “it’s an old building and the doors don’t always shut on their own.”

Great for being in the middle of everything in the city. Everything was walking distance. The hotel is old so not much was expected as far as amenities, and it had an old house smell to it. Staff was awesome and they did very well with cleaning rooms daily. Really can’t beat it as far as location and price if you really don’t care about it not being “resort style.” Overall nice place.

Perfect location! Easy walk to all the best places. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard with a pool. Rooms are simple but have everything you need.

Overall the hotel is quaint and charming. The location is perfect if you plan on being in the French Quarter. The staff were kind and welcoming. Things to know before you book: if your room faces the courtyard/pool area the noise level is high in the morning and night. The courtyard is cobble stone and carts can be heard early in the am. Staff also take their breaks at the tables in the courtyard which is outside of rooms. It can get pretty loud. You can hear a steady amount of traffic from cars, music and people at night in your room. There’s no vending machines. We door dashed items when needed. Rooms were clean, we did not notice any smells. Shower worked great and the room was equipped with a smart tv.

We had an outstanding stay at the Chateau Hotel. The location is absolutely perfect—just steps from everything in the French Quarter while still feeling quiet and tucked away when you return for the night. The courtyard and pool area give the place a relaxed, classic New Orleans feel. The staff was fantastic, especially Elaine, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and offered great local recommendations. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what you want after a full day exploring the city. One thing we appreciated most was how easy it was to walk everywhere—great restaurants, music, and historic sites are all right outside the door. We’d absolutely stay here again and would recommend the Chateau Hotel to anyone visiting New Orleans who wants charm, location, and great service.

The staff was awesome and so friendly! The location was PERFECT! Close enough to the action without being in the action at night so you can sleep :) Centrally located so the perfect kickoff point to hit Bourbon or go to Cafe Dumond all within a few min walk. This is where you got to stay at if you want to be in the middle of things. Bourbon Street and all the other little French Quarter blocks are a few short steps away. The room was nice and clean but the only thing that bothered me was that the old doors leading out to the balcony did not lock completely except from one lock on the bottom the other two lots were not effective because there was nothing there to hold them in. I understand it's in a hotel and I could forgive that I'm just afraid that people can break into the room somewhat easily. They had at least a safe that worked very well. The key fob was used to enter the premises and the room and one of them never worked. They did have something that you could download onto your phone so you can get into the hotel and your room using your phone's features but that worked inconsistently. The water pressure is very very low so you can take a nice long slow shower if that's what you like with only the minimalist of water falling on you. I felt like I was outside and light rain was falling. But I really did love this place because of the character and the staff was really good.

Right in the heart of the French Quarters yet quiet and peaceful when in our room. This hotel is older but quaint very near to shopping, bars, clubs and within walking distance of just about anywhere you want to go in or near the French Quarters. Wished there was a microwave and efrigerator in the room though.
