"Excellent service, Ms Deidre at the front desk was superb, very helpful. Parking across the street, felt as if my van was secure. Room was clean and housekeeping staff was very accommodating and helpful. Will definitely be staying again on my next visit. "

"The place was busy when we arrived an hour after check-in. We were told the room we booked with two beds wasn’t ready yet. The front desk man, Matthew, was so kind and stored our luggage for us so we could go eat with friends until our room was ready. Once we arrived back a few hours later, our room was ready and yet again Matthew was there to help us out. It was evident the hotel was older, but still a clean well maintained environment. When we arrived in our room the tvs didn’t work. I finally clicked around on one remote and it started working. My husband let the front desk staff know and they were quick to send the maintenance man out to fix it. The maintenance man, which I wish I would’ve got his name, was very efficient and got the job done quick. I even let him know about a minor problem with the faucet in the shower and he said it was ok and he’ll get to it in the morning that it would be fine for the night. I asked him about getting another towel, he told me to call the front desk. I did and decided I was just going to go down and grab it. He was so kind to go get it for us. I know that’s not in his job duties, but it showed the kindness in his heart to do that. It’s the little things that make your visit enjoyable. Because of this I would stay again. "

"This is the third time my family and I have stayed at the A/C. Housekeeping missed critical points when refreshing the room. The phone in the room never had a dial tone to call the front desk. The building needs foundation work as the flooring in our room has caulk to disguise the cracks. Also the valet wait was unbearable- often there was only one guy working. When we arrived the first room they gave us had not been cleaned from the prior occupants. "

"Not sure why reviews I read said was clean. Got to our room, not vacuumed well, toilet seat loose, tub enamel chipped, mirror looked broken on edges. Asked for room change. Front desk staff apologized and immediately moved us. New room again not vacuumed well, tub looked dirty on bottom. Went back down and again front desk apologized and immediately sent house keeping up. Windows thin, was on 15th floor and could hear all the noise out in street. Could hear people in room next to us. Had a room where you could do adjoining and could see the light of room next to us under the door. Battery in door lock died, had to get someone up to fix. They did fix right away. Definitely not a place you want to stay."

"wonderful atmosphere"

"The hotel was under construction when I stayed. I wrote to the hotel in advance of my stay and was reassured that they were "undergoing some minor renovations but the impact on guest areas should be minimal". On arrival, the restaurant, gymn, and pool were all closed for refurbishment. There was electrical and painting works going on outside my room on my floor. My courtyard patio for which I paid extra was unusable due to builders digging it up. The bathroom was old and tiny. Standing area was 4 x 3 feet. The sink taps leaked soaking me in water. The air con could not be altered so the room was too hot or too cold depending on the outside temperature. The extractor fan didn't work. The room had no usb charging points. The power points were so old that they couldn't hold an adaptor plug properly. There was not enough space for clothes just a few tiny drawers. Worst of all, the hotel management couldn't care less. They say they will respond to my issues but haven't done anything about it yet. The hotel lobby is beautiful but the rest of the hotel is very old and of a poor standard. I advise that you book another hotel in New Orleans and avoid this one. "

"None of the remote blinds in the room worked, so it was too dark during the day and too bright while we were trying to sleep. Everything else was okay. Beds weren’t horrible, but not great either,"
