「Superb staff and property 」

「We were up all night because the room smelled of paint. The building was undergoing renovations. To combat the smell, we kept all the windows open. Unfortunately, we couldn’t reach customer service because it’s automated, and you never speak to a real person. It was the worst experience. I’ve switched to the Heritage hotel, but I can’t say it’s any better. In fact, it’s probably worse. There’s construction scaffolding, and it’s incredibly loud. I’m disappointed with Marriott.」

「Cold weather and cold pool near us so we didn’t use it Pool view. It was fine. Kind of older furniture and decor…. And carpet. I thought it would’ve been more updated for the price…. Good location for the beach but not for anywhere to walk at all…. Bikes on site were nice. The pool bar had great drinks and horrible food served all on paper and plastic utensils which I can’t stand . The food was gross. We didn’t talk much with the “host” so not sure on that. 「I had a great stay at Hotel Carolina. The room was recently renovated, very clean, and extremely comfortable. You can tell a lot of care has gone into updating the property. The mid-island location is excellent—very convenient for getting around Hilton Head and close to everything you need. I did have to ask the front desk for a few extra towels, and they were incredibly helpful and quick to assist. Overall, the service was great. 「The clean rooms are greatly appreciated. To many places to stay these days are disgusting and called clean. These rooms are CLEAN! Staff is very friendly and the price is quite affordable. Hidden gem ! Definitely will be back hereanu times. 」

「Room is old, bathtub is rusted, caulking around toilet was black. The room smells like no one lives in it for a while. While it rained, the water overflow to the door. The only pleasant thing was the staff was really nice and helpful. I don't think I will go back again unless they make some improvement」
