「The blonde woman at the check-in was very warm and welcoming. We were early and our room was not ready, but she said that she would call or text when it was. When we got into our room, it was amazingly small. But the number one main reason why I gave it three stars is because of the bleach smell. The location is fantastic, parking is extremely tight, wasn’t very clean, ceiling fans are completely covered in thick dust, super low water pressure in showers, zero communication regarding where and how to check (I only knew because of reviews), and there is no elevator for those who would need it. 「The Dunes at Tybee Island is my go-to hotel. The place is old but very well maintained. The beds are very comfortable, and the air conditioning is nice and cold after a long day at the beach. The kitchen is a huge bonus, but restaurants are within walking distance. The pier and beach are a few blocks from your door. The pool is just steps from your room and so clean and refreshing. 「It was a little pricey for what it is. But it is close to the beach, shops, food and bars. Stayed here before and would come back.」

To the point my husband had to get in the passenger seat and crawl over to the driver seat because you could not even walk between our car and the one next to us. The spaces have little to no room to get in and out of the car.」

「Room was clean, good location. Limited food and went out for breakfast. Limited choices and expensive. On a scale 1 to 10 would give hotel a 7 overall.」

「I booked the room because Google said it was closest to me, which it was in a different state. My mistake for not double checking but then called the hotel to get a refund or transfer my reservation to a near by hotel and was told they wasn’t able to. I called several people on this situation and no one could help me. $229 wasted. I’m very upset. I understand I made a mistake but why wasn’t it fixable.」

「For $500 a night plus a daily $40 resort fee, it was a little ridiculous that they didn’t have a section of seating on the beach reserved for resort guests. If you want loungers and umbrellas, you were expected to pay a third party to rent them. Compared to the other resorts I’ve stayed at, this one was not worth the cost, won’t stay there again.」
