"Cynthia at the front desk was AMAZING! So sweet & welcoming! She was truly my favorite part of our stay. The room was nice, but we felt cramped. The bathroom is TINY. When I sit on the toilet, my feet were in the shower. The shower was nice, but TOO BIG for the size of the bathroom. The sink is so tiny & the water would splash everywhere. We really wanted to change hotels, but since we had already checked in, I could not be refunded. If I ever go back to Tybee Island, I would stay closer to the pier & shopping. I did like that the fact that this hotel had a pool, but I didn't want to swim in because of all the water bugs swimming in it."

"Definitely an older hotel. The coffee bags had dust on them. The sinks in both rooms purchased clogged and we had to wait for them to drain. The shower never got hot. "

"May 10, 2026 We had a wonderful stay at DeSoto Bed and Breakfast Inn. The home is beautiful, charming, and filled with historic Savannah character, while still feeling warm and comfortable. A special thank you to Rick, the Innkeeper, who made our stay even more enjoyable. His hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail abd historical knowledge shared made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. The organic breakfast was majestic — truly King and Queen worthy. It was fresh, delicious, beautifully prepared, and such a lovely highlight of our stay. The location was perfect for enjoying both Savannah and Tybee Island, giving us the best of historic charm and coastal relaxation. The rooms, front and back porches were cozy, comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, and everything felt peaceful, personal, and memorable. I would highly recommend DeSoto Bed and Breakfast Inn to anyone looking for a charming, welcoming, and truly special Savannah/Tybee Island getaway. "

"Although the room was clean it had limited things like silverware etc. The room had peeling paint etc. Bathroom was tiny. View of ocean was obstructed "

"The porch and outdoor furniture were noticeably unclean. The yard looked like it hadn’t been swept in several days, and the seating areas were dirty. Breakfast was another issue, which was especially disappointing considering this was a bed‑and‑breakfast and I stayed for two days. On the first morning, I went to check on breakfast around 9:25 a.m. and was told it was served at 9. There was no indication that I needed to be there exactly at 9 a.m. or that breakfast would not be available afterward. The man at the door questioned me abruptly — “You staying here? Which room you staying in?” — which made me uncomfortable. A barefoot woman, who I assume also worked there, added, “Sorry, no breakfast, you should have come at 9,” even though it wasn’t even 9:30 yet. The next day, I didn’t return for breakfast. As I was leaving, I saw the same man. He looked at me and said, “You miss breakfast again,” almost as if he was taunting me. I smiled and walked away. He then asked, “You’re leaving?” I nodded, and he replied, “Come back again. Hope you enjoyed your stay.”The entire experience left me disappointed."
