I love the retro/beach vibe of the motel. The lovely lady that checked me in was so nice & accommodating. The room was very clean. I also loved that there was a pool on the property & the beach was within walking distance. I will definitely return again.

The property was in prime location. Just a few minutes to the beach by foot. Literally five minutes. Location was perfect. You can walk just a few blocks and be in the downtown area where you can get food and drinks without any worries about driving. The motel was cute and vintage. Very adorable. Great for a few nights day. If you don’t mind a tiny house living the Royal Palms is the perfect place.

The only complaint I have is that the front part of the 2 bedroom unit did not have air condition and got pretty warm but all in ask the rooms were extremely cute and the beds and shower were phenomenal .

We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed Tybee Island. The motel is in a great place for access to the beach, it has its own clean pool, the room was comfortable and we had a little extra room with a coffee machine and fridge which was handy. the bathroom was teeny but the shower worked and we managed fine. The ladies on reception were friendly and helpful. I would happily stay there again.

The hotel is very retro and so cute. It is very convenient to the beach and easy to get around town from. We loved it and will definitely come back. The staff is so friendly and if i had a complaint it would just be the floor seemed a little dirty but at the beach im sure all seem that way.

I feel like I was catfished. When we first got there, the first disappointment was the parking. I have never seen such tight parking spots before. We arrived later in the day, and I had to climb over to the passengers seat to squeeze out of that door. The pictures gave me a different expectation than what we found. It's a repainted old, run down motel room. The bathroom had a sliding door with a large gap, which didn't afford the person in the bathroom much privacy. The bathroom was tiny. The sink what ridiculously tiny. This was a birthday trip for my husband and I was extremely disappointed. Not a very walkable location at all. I would not stay here again.

Thank you Cynthia! You’ve made our stay. Royal Palms saved our vacation after the disaster that we experienced at the Hotel Tybee. We couldn’t have appreciated this place more. Clean, cute. Ol’ fashioned - meaning small rooms and small bathrooms, but that’s to be expected. Place is cute. The only constructive feedback: room 18 needs to have blinds or drapes over the small window - the streetlight shines directly into it and your night will be bright as daylight. Didn’t bother us, but for some people might be an issue. And it took like 10 mins or more to get hot water in the shower. Could be the specifics of their plumbing. Otherwise, a great, cute retro motel room with good proximity to the beach.

Room was fine, except the floor was dirty and had debris and hair on it. Bed was clean and super comfortable and the shower had awesome pressure! Air conditioning worked without issue and parking was free and right in front of our room. Bathroom was very small, in fact there was no room to sit straight on the toilet.
