Hotel Tybee

Hotel Tybee

10/10 Excellent
"My second time staying at Hotel Tybee. Again, it was a good Choice. Room & Property was clean. The location is minutes always from Pier & Beach. Walking distance to several choices of places to eat. There are 2 Pools on the Property, and the Newly Added Splash Pad was a Big Hit for the Little Ones. The Hotel also has quit a few Bikes that are Free to Ride. Check-In was a quick process as well."

Sandcastle Inn

Sandcastle Inn

10/10 Excellent
"So happy we found this place before booking with the other, more expensive, hotels. The rooms were very clean (smelled great!), beds were comfortable, A/C was COLD, and within walking distance to the beach (walk through the parking lot) and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again."

Tybee Island Inn

10/10 Excellent
"The location minutes from the beach is excellent. The sea cabin room which we stayed in is really a suite of three tiny rooms which suited our needs very well. The breakfasts were ample and tasty. Chris, the owner, was very helpful"

DeSoto Beach Hotel

DeSoto Beach Hotel

8/10 Good
"We were at a family reunion in Wrightsville then showed up late . When my husband & I appeared at the front desk your employee was on the phone . It was very obvious it was a personal conversation with laughing. She never acknowledged me . She was very rude . She was on the phone at least 15 mins . Once she got off the phone she was very nice to me . All your other front desk girls ( morning ) gave me a time of the day . My husband was getting upset . We were tired and wanted to get in our room . We finally arrived in our room it was very hot in the room . We also discovered we had blood spots on our pillowcases & fitted sheet on my side . Enclosed the photos . I went back to the from desk & your Housekeeper supervisor was there . She brought us clean pillowcases. My husband headed to the bridge and discovered we didn’t have access to the beach . I went down there & saw I would have to travel through the trail . I didn’t feel safe . No way I was going through all that tall grass to get to the beach . I was very disappointed that I couldn’t get to the beach in a safe way . My daughter’s friend & Expedia asked me to give her a true review which I plan to do. I was told the reason the bridge was blocked was a high tide came in & washed the sand away. Why haven’t steps been built to get down to the beach ? I have been to other places that had a bridge with steps . Their hotel should have disclose the bridge was closed."
