「Amazing food 」

「This was our first stay at a Riu resort and first time we’ve vacationed in Playacar specifically. The location was great; the little village market, the small ruins that were in the area and the short walk to Playa del Carmen made it a fantastic location. It felt safe and was close to many amenities. The beach was beautiful and was walkable to Playa del Carmen as well. 「I would recommend that nobody EVER stay at this hotel. We stayed at Viva Azteca for one night and were transferred to Viva Maya for the rest of our stay. This was due to harassment by the “manager of security”. I asked for the video footage by the bar and was ably to prove that he was harassing my 20 year old daughter and her 23 year old friend. He accused them of being underage and when they showed him their ID’s, he continued to harass them and told all bars to not service them anymore. ...

「This was a “ buyer beware” situation for me. I have been there a couple times previously with family members who have had a timeshare for 30 years and always stayed in nice quarters. This time I paid for my own one bedroom. I was put into a studio “ cave” with no window. That was NOT what was advertised. Of course, I was unable to get it changed. The ocean view is fantastic. Except for breakfast, the food was mediocre, at best. The servers are wonderfully helpful, the resort staff’s most often ...

「Super atencion desde la llegada, llegue antes de la hora del check inn y nos recibieron super bien nos registraron de inmediato y pudimos pasar a los restaurantes, bares y disfrutar las amenidades y mas tarde a la hora indicada recibimos nuestra habitacion, la comida excelente de buena calidad, las albercas grandes y hermosas, los meseros en general muy bien pero humberto te hace el dia, sabe peefectamente lo q es atencion al cliente ....todo super 」

「El internet se iba a ratos tuve que tener prendidos mis datos todo el tiempo, Personal no hay así que en categoría de Hotel no puede quedar prácticamente es un Airbnb porque es una casa sin acceso a la cocina, más que a tu propio cuarto 」

Me pasó que no había crema para los chilaquiles y me la dieron luego de preguntar con todos e insistir por 20 min. Lo que no me gustó nada fue el encargado de los tours. Me daba información incompleta y me vendió una actividad extra que no distrufé y ni me consultó. Horrible experiencia con él.」

「The hotel has a good location and a very pleasant environment. The buffet offers excellent variety and quality, especially for breakfast and lunch. However, I believe the dinner options could be improved, as they were not as impressive. One downside was that we found some cockroaches in our room, which was disappointing and something the hotel should definitely address. Overall, it is a good place to stay if you are looking to have fun, enjoy drinks, and meet new people.」
