"Clean room"

"Really disappointed with our stay. The hotel is not as advertised and is badly in need of a refurb. The overall maintenance is shockingly poor. Around the pool, large sections of the wooden decking are lifting, warped and in some cases completely broken. Entire planks move when you step on them, which is both dangerous and clearly not acceptable for a hotel at this price point. The same issue existed on our balcony where the flooring was also lifting. The bathrooms by the pool had no hand soap on more than one occasion, not acceptable when food is being served up there. Inside the room the shower floor had a large broken tile underfoot, and the rainfall shower had virtually no water pressure, making it barely usable. The room itself was very white and plain, tired and did not resemble the photos online in any way. Overall it felt worn, poorly maintained and quite shabby. To add insult to injury, I got locked inside the gym! I was using my key card to attempt to exit (the same way as you enter) but it did not work to release the door, leaving me unable to get out and with no staff or other guests around to help. It took time to get someone’s attention, and when I finally did, there was no apology, instead they insisted on telling me how I 'should' have unlocked it. Rather than just putting up a sign to show the correct process! Overall a very frustrating experience and wish we'd stayed elsewhere. I will also be posting this review on Google with photos. "

"Had an amazing time, the service was excellent from the moment we arrived and left very welcoming. The staff are not only friendly but professional when being approached. My sister and I enjoyed our stayed, service and the resort. Afternoon activities were good but need to boost the night entertainment from the 5 nights only one had dancing music. I would definitely recommend my friends to stay at the resort!"

"The staff was excellent and the property was very clean. The food however was absolutely terrible and very odd. I think i survived off of macaroons and mixed drinks. You would think you could atleast eat a sandwich but the bread was sticky and not toasted, one slice of meat, lettuce with brown spots and a slimy tomato. We had chicken at the Italian restaurant with pink centers, watery Pad Thai at the Japanese restaurant...it goes on. Pay more for another hotel or plan to eat off site."

"Amazing place "

"Me and my daughter had a lovely stay here, the ground floor room looked out over the hotel pool which we had pretty much to ourselves every morning!! Breakfast was in a great spot overlooking the beach and the day beds and loungers in the beach were ideally situated. The staff took care of us really well, you can’t beat this hotel for location to the beach and just off 5th Avenue, no taxis required our entire stay!!"

"This is a great resort! The restaurants are amazing. You can walk right off property to the beach and downtown. Take the ferry to Cozumel and use the resort there. The snorkeling at the Cozumel Palace is great. We brought our kids and they loved it."
