Overall we enjoyed our stay at Antera hotel and residences. The bed was super comfortable, we really enjoyed the rooftop patio with hot tub and it was great having a kitchen, two bathrooms and laundry facilities in our unit. The property is well maintained and beautiful and we really enjoyed the rooftop pools. The staff are friendly and eager to help but not all is perfect, there are a few issues with this hotel. The noise from a couple of bars thumps all night and is unreasonably loud. This isn’t the hotel’s fault but something that could ruin your stay, earplugs are highly recommended! I loved having a kitchen on holiday but this kitchen lacked cupboard space and more importantly a toaster,(we ended up using the oven to make toast). Unfortunately during our stay we encountered cockroaches in our room, they sprayed all the drains a couple of times but the problem still persisted. I was disappointed that the hotel didn’t check back with us or offer us anything for dealing with this issue. I would return for another visit but next time would ask for a quieter room.

We had a great time, the apartment was quite spacious (perhaps the wardrobe was too small) and the level of cleanliness was really good. Breakfast in the morning was excellent and the use of the parking convenient (although very steep!). The staff was friendly and professional. We would recommend it to anyone who isn't bothered by the constant noise of people and music which does not come from the hotel but from the immediate vicinity of the promenade.

This is a prime location! You're a block away from 5th ave walking, but far enough away that you aren't in the crowd. Plenty of choices for restaurants right outside the hotel. This hotel has free parking in an underground parking garage. The garage is tight, but was not crowded during our stay. As others have stated, sometimes the music from a nearby club is very loud at night.

We’ve stayed at Antera a couple of times now. They accommodated my requests and were great to deal with. The room was very clean, nice linens, secure underground parking and friendly staff. It is noisy at night, but that’s to be expected if you’re right in Playa del Carmen.

Beautiful Hotel, but Noise Makes It Hard to Rest Antera is undoubtedly a beautiful hotel. The design, atmosphere, and attention to detail create that sense of luxury you expect when staying here. The facilities are pleasant, and the staff is attentive, which gives the experience many positive aspects. However, there was one important issue that affected my stay. The bar located next to the hotel creates noise late into the night, often until around 3 a.m., almost every night. For light sleepers or anyone hoping to fully rest during their vacation, this can be quite challenging. It’s a shame because the hotel has great potential, but the nighttime noise directly impacts the quality of sleep. For that reason, I personally would not recommend it to those who prioritize good rest, and I would likely not stay here again because of this.

En general el servicio fue bueno, las camas y las almohadas muy confortables. La ubicación de Hotel es buena, esta a pasos de la playa, pero no tiene vista al mar. Y a 6 minutos andando de la estación de buses ADO, lo cual es muy conveninte. En cuanto a las habitaciones, las duchas son un poco pequeñas, la puerta del baño es corredera por lo que constantemente se trababa. el hotel no cuenta con restaurante, así que obligatoriamente debes salir para desayunar.

Antera was incredible. Our room was spaceous and the kitchen was very well equipped. The bed was the best hotel bed i have ever slept on for my back. We loved every breakfast, which was included, at the attached restaurant called 'Yum Yum'. It was our morning ritual. The coffee is better than any chain cafe, the fruit was so fresh, and everything was better prepared and presented than i expected for a hotel breakfast. It is one of the better restaurants in the area. The staff were always courteous and helpful. The rooftop has lovely pools and a great view of sunsets. The bartender is beyond professional. Downtown can be noisy into the evening, but we did not have any issues sleeping with the AC fan on for white noise. People watching from our balcony was a wonderul way to relax. Easy access to the beach, restaurants and the ADO station. Would definitely recommend and happily stay again.
