Didn’t get early check in. Paid upgrade for beach walkout at very end of building construction going on indoors and outside building new gazebo - buffet food horrible - everything had after taste to it. There is NO BEACH and NO WHITE SAND - rocks everywhere and dirty brown water couldn’t even swim in so called beach - pictures on this website totally different. People used free beach access next to us and stayed up all night long on beach. Didn’t sleep due to kids running around and yelling. Restaurants a block away - not in Wyndham itself. Staff at front dest very unfriendly - spoke to manager and wasn’t offered any compensation (paid $4,000 for thurs thru Sunday trip) instead she sent to room 6 strawberry dipped in chocolates - for the price and food and service I rate this place a 1. Very disappointed customer. Do not stay here

This was my first trip to mexico and my first tropical vacation in life. I feel obligated to provide a detailed review as this venue was so awesome, and exceeded my expectations in every possible way! I stayed for 9 nights Feb 20-March 1st, excellent time of year even though the seaweed decided to start coming early in 2026. Staff: The staff is both professional and pleasant, they are knowledgeable in their respective roles and always friendly. They make a pleasant hand gesture and cover their hearts when greeting you, it feels very welcoming and I'm appreciative. The bartenders are well versed and happy to put together special requests if they are unfamiliar. The chefs are happy and awesome, even the cleaning staff was pleasant and helpful and I like how you get a little card explaining who will be taling care of your cleaning services for your stay. Food: The buffets are fully stacked with many options at every meal and customizations are endless. The restaurants are all great, many options at the Italian restaurant in particular. There were also many vegetarian options in each area, and im pretty sure they can/do accommodate other dietary requirements. The abundance of fresh fruit 24/7 was so very appreciated. The fruit at the buffets was amazing, and you can always pick up a fresh fruit cup in the grab and go cafeteria. Beach:

Staff was very friendly. They don’t serve alcohol until after 11 AM so if you want a mimosa with breakfast, that’s not going to happen. It was walking distance to the shopping area, which was great. Their Italian, Mexican and Steakhouse restaurants are all incredible. The entertainment was spectacular. The room we had faced the street, so it was very loud and the AC in the room was loud also. There wasn’t much of a beach area and it was right next to the public beach so no privacy. All in all it was a great experience and I would go back again.
Very good deals on the cabanas by the pool.

Concierge asked us if we wanted to upgrade our room to an ocean view but we Love staying on the first floorm very easy to get to everything this way. We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and love it here. Pool is great. There is a small beach you can go too (not much there but still nice with a bar and beach chairs) The staff is amazing. Miguel is our faborite bartender and Gustavo was amazing at making out check out experience and quick and easy process. The rest of the staff, waiters, hostesses, maid, concierge, etc are always fabulous and willing to help you with a smile. Would absolutely recommend. Also we love how close it is to 5th avenue!!!!!

So this may be a bit long. First, the resort was spotless. I’ve never been in a cleaner one. There were lots of options for food but Bella was our hands down fav! It had many more menu selections than the other restaurants did. The steakhouse really needs to add fries to their menu as a side for their really good steaks and cheeseburgers. The sushi place was awesome too! And loads of options for the buffet - breakfasts were amazing. But what really impressed us here was the staff. I’ve never stayed anywhere where the staff catered to you like they did here. They were incredibly friendly and helpful with an outstanding work ethic! Their customer service skills are truly above reproach!

The rooms at this resort were very clean. The staff was competent and very kind. I never saw one staff member on their phone - their full attention was to the guests. I loved the location of the resort. We were able to go for walks on fifth avenue mornings and evenings.

Location was good, for an all inclusive the food exceeded expectations. Property was well maintained. Staff was friendly however the couple of times we needed to reach the front desk, it was impossible to get someone to answer. There is limited space by the pool to snag a lounge chair. We would go down for breakfast early and people would already have towels and personal belongings “holding” chairs, but wouldn’t come down until noon to actually use them. The staff didn’t discourage this. We ended up renting cabanas which was great, because we didn’t want to jockey for position, however the staff needs to have a clear directive on how to handle guests who exercise this behavior. We had a nice vacation, but wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here again.

I had a very average stay. And a very average experience. I had paid for a 2 bed “all inclusive” and I felt nickeled and dimed at every turn. At check in, I was pulled into a room by a salesman to pay another $140 for my guest to drink and dine. Later in the night I was returning from the beach and was approached by staff. They warned me about a “$300 smoking and vaping” fee. And I was getting a warning. Real vibe killer. Then I checked my credit card statement and saw I was charged $150 for non replaced room keys. Decent property and location but for the extra $300 I would have stayed somewhere nicer. I spent the rest of my vacation at xcaret. They never disappoint.
