"We had an excellent off-season stay here. The staff are all super friendly and accommodating. The rooms were exceptionally clean, spacious, with very comfortable beds. The whole property is friendly to dogs on leashes(except possibly inside The Red Slate Restaurant). We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time exploring nearby Manchester, Londonderry, and Dorset. "Pet friendly "

"Very interesting place. I loved the historic feel. However, the floors were very squeaky and almost felt like you could fall through sometimes. The continental breakfast, although appreciated, was very slim. One type of (huge) muffins, stale bagels, yogurt, orange juice, coffee. Having some milk, cereal or fruit would have been nice. Friendly staff however, we barely saw anyone at all."
