"I would not stay here again. The food is a huge part of the experience on a vacation and sadly this misses the mark in so many ways. We barely could eat by the end of it. They say the food is à la carte but it’s actually a buffet at every restaurant with a few items to choose à la carte that come to you cold. It says no reservations, but many restaurants didn’t have openings. The staff unfortunately, aren’t the happiest. We were here for a wedding so typically don’t stay at a hotel of this level so maybe that’s why the staff weren’t as happy as what we’re accustomed to. They’re extremely strict including you need a card just to get a pool towel. And you can only get one towel all day, even when it poured rain. We were not able to exchange our towel for a dry one. Ceiling fan fell right off the roof in the room mid night😳 the list goes on and on. I would just not recommend staying here even if you have to spend a little bit more money, it is not worth it here. Sadly by the second last day, we got very sick (I think from the food) and multiple people in our party did throughout the week."

"We returned to Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres this year to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday, and once again this resort exceeded our expectations. We spent a long time choosing both the country and the hotel for this special trip, but in the end we decided to come back here because our previous stay had been such a wonderful experience. It truly felt like coming back to a place where people genuinely care about their guests. I would especially like to mention Silvia, who leads the stretching class every morning at 10 AM. She is absolutely amazing — full of positive energy and professionalism, and she made our mornings so enjoyable. A very special thank you also goes to Krystel from Guest Service, who did everything possible to make my husband’s birthday unforgettable. Her kindness, attention, and care meant so much to us. Every employee at this resort works hard to make guests feel relaxed and comfortable. The rooms were always spotless, the minibar was consistently stocked, and the service throughout the resort was excellent. We left with so much gratitude for the entire team. The people working at this resort are the reason guests want to return again and again. Thank you, Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres, for another beautiful vacation and unforgettable memories"

"The only thing I missed were the calm waters of North beach but a 2 minute walk around the corner or straight up the little alleyway solves that problem. "

"My initial impression of the resort was not the best. I felt as if we were a bother to the lobby bar bartenders. We hung out in the lobby while waiting for the rest of our party. The bartenders were not friendly and would look away as we approached for refills. Like I said initial impression was not the best. HOWEVER, after that it was all smooth sailing and good times were had. Our server at Dan Paz, Ruben, was the absolute best! Almost as if we were hanging out at a family members home. The food suggestions made by Ruben were superior and our drinks never went empty. It was hard to leave the restaurant as the drinks flowed like water. Let me not forget our waitress at the activities pool, Vetyanna. She was the best! Kept our party going, always with a smile and willing to answer any questions we had. By the end of our trip I was calling her my best friend! Angela at our jr suite pool room gets another honorable mention! From afar she would check in with us and was such a delight to see. Xouri at the sports bar was such a sweet gal and had the best smile. Who doesn’t love service with a smile! The restaurants were all amazing! Food was great, service in the restaurants was impeccable! We ate at the steak house, teppan teriyaki place, Italian place, margaritas and Daz pan. All good tasting food! The buffet every morning was a great way to start the day. The fresh juice and fruit were always enjoyable! Can’t forget the coffee bar and beautiful gym! 5 stars"
