This place needs a lot of work—it’s clearly run down. The only real positive is the beachfront location, but beyond that, it’s very dirty and poorly maintained. I saw a cockroach in the restroom and there were a lot of mosquitoes. I would not recommend this place and wouldn’t stay here again.

The room is super basic, no frills, but has a clean bed and a hot shower and what else do you need when you are in the tropics? We walked out to the view of the Caribbean and are right on the most beautiful beaches in Mexico and in walking distance of all the fun shops and restaurants and culture of the island. The staff is super helpful and nice, the drinks are cold and amazing and the food we did have was great. It’s a great place if you’re traveling on a bit of a budget. Thank you. Posade Del Mar, we truly enjoyed our time at your hotel and on your amazing island!

I had a wonderful stay at Posada Del Mar! The highlight of the experience was absolutely the beach view—it was breathtaking. The atmosphere of the hotel was charming and laid-back, perfect for a getaway. Everything felt clean and well-kept, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. Jorge was absolutely fantastic as both our bartender and server! From the moment we sat down, he was friendly, attentive, and made us feel completely welcome. He had great energy and a genuine personality that really added to our experience. His drink recommendations were spot on, and everything was made perfectly. He stayed on top of everything without ever making us feel rushed, and you could tell he really cares about providing great service. Jorge truly went above and beyond to make our time enjoyable. If you get the chance to be served by him, you’re in for a great experience!

Posada Del Mar was the perfect hotel for our vacation in Isla Mujeres!!! Close to the ferry and within walking distance. Across the street from the most beautiful beach and beach views! We were offered the first floor and it was so convenient because we were able to park our golf cart on the property right by our room. There is a restaurant and bar on the property as well next to their beautiful pool! Shopping, food, music, water, and fun is all close to this hotel! Water pressure is excellent and there was plenty of hot water. Check in was fast and easy. We were offered extra towels, etc. anything we needed for our room. We felt safe at night and the room was comfortable. There was a mini fridge in the room and 2 beds. the beds were comfortable. For the price, location, and fun this place is in the top 10! It was my first time to Isla Mujer and it was a wonderful experience that I will never forget! Some isla tips: -Bring sun screen and your own snorkel set, they r expensive here -dont forget pajamas -you dont need to bring towels just buy them here -dont pack too much, for women a lot of bathingsuits, tops, shorts, and swim covers, flip flops. also, they have cute cothes for wome here so you could buy a lot of stuff here to save space. -whatever you dont want to take home, just leave for the staff and dont throw it away. -you really dont need a whole lot when packing. simple stuff. -a go pro or underwater camera is a must have!! -shop around for bargains, dont settle

The hotel's location is very convenient—Playa Centro is right across the street. The facilities were good, and the cleanliness was excellent—except for the shower, which fell short; I give it a 3 out of 5. I absolutely loved everything else, though, and I will definitely be back.

The hotel of which we’ve stayed a couple years ago has unfortunately deteriorated a bit as it’s time has evolved. However its proximity to the public beach across the street is as good as it could get. There is a restaurant I believe is part of the property and on the plaza level is for a view while eating is to be very impressive overlooking the ocean and the bay.

We had a lovely pool and beach view. Rooms are dated and basic but it’s all we needed. Location can’t be beat. Bar and restaurant on site and parking for your golf cart, if you rent one.

This is the cheapest and best hotel you could possibly stay at on Isla Mujeres. You are no more than a 30 second walk from both the west beach and playa Norte. You have private pool inside of the hotel’s courtyard for you and other guests, the staff comes to the room in the mid afternoon every day and provides cleans sheets, fresh towels, and tidied up. The staff and front desk are very friendly and more than willing to give recommendations. You are perfectly situated at the heart of the northern part of the island where all of the local restaurants and 7-Eleven and other shops for souvenirs are located There is AC in the front desk provides fresh towels as many times a day as you ask. The single thing to know is the beds are quite stiff and the pillows are a bit fluffy so if you like a thin pillow and a soft mattress, you will not enjoy the beds.
