Just returned from an amazing stay at Riu Cancún, and I have to say the resort itself is absolutely stunning. The location is unbeatable—right on the beach with crystal clear water, incredible views, and beautifully maintained grounds. The pools are lively, the staff is friendly, and the overall atmosphere makes for a great vacation.
That said, while everything else exceeded expectations, the food selection left a bit to be desired. It wasn’t terrible, but it definitely didn’t match the quality of the resort’s other amenities. Some of the buffet options were repetitive and even stale, and the specialty restaurants could use more variety and authenticity. The rooms are also falling apart. The hotel needs a renovation to live up to its name in my personal opinion.
Still, the overall experience was fantastic, and I’d definitely return. Just hoping to see a bit more effort and creativity in the kitchen next time around!
