"Honestly this is the most unprofessional “stay” i have ever encountered. Apparently the listing was “taken off” and shouldn’t have been available. The owner did not reach out or say anything and when I tried to reach out, my calls were saying they were not accepting calls. It took me going to the property to see another guest having the same problem as myself. We had to get a phone number from separate guests staying downstairs just to get a hold of the owner who still did not help in getting a...
"Staying at Chateau Tivoli was like stepping into a beautifully preserved piece of history. This Victorian-era mansion offers a rare blend of elegance, charm, and warmth.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel like honored guests in a private home. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the stately double parlor with wine and cheese, and the breakfast was both delicious and thoughtfully presented.
Chateau Tivoli is a must-stay. We can’t wait to return!"

"Not exactly a bar there. Hoping for a nice California glass of wine. Nothing available but the shift manager kindly found an open white and gave me a glass."

"The only thing that was not perfect: the beds and pillows.
Y'all have to turn those mattresses around every few months. When someone sleeps on the same spot for months (or years), that mattress is no longer comfortable (I'm sure some need to be replaced).
Same for the pillows. It's as if there is no pillow.
The pillow is there...but it's not doing the job of a pillow.
When you put your head on the pillow, your head practically hits the bed. Definitely need replacing.
With the exception of that, everything else was perfecto."
"We’re visiting San Francisco and trying out a few different hotels for fun and comparison purposes. This is one of the best so far. We decided it would be safer and less expensive to stay slightly outside the city rather than downtown. Parking here is free compared to $65 to $95/night in the city and the room rate is less for a comparable hotel. It’s only about a 15 minute drive into central SF.
The room is clean, the beds are comfortable and we like the fact that the bathroom has a real door rather than the sliding doors that a lot of the more recently built hotels have.
The free breakfast is typical of hotels.
The lobby is clean and attractively decorated but small and with nothing going on at night such as a restaurant or a bar.
Overall, I can’t think of anything to complain about. The staff has been friendly and helpful. I guess the one thing that I don’t love is the area, but we’re not planning to spend any time around here so it’s not important to us."
