"This property is located in a very quiet area with not much to see in the immediate vicinity so you need a car if you want to visit the surrounding area. The hotel itself is small and lovely. The grounds are very well maintained and the pool area is a great place to just chill out. It is nice to wake up and see the olive trees outside. My wife's only complaint as a light sleeper was the noise insulation- could hear upstair's water system filling up, chairs moving and conversations in the corridor as people waited for the lift."

"This is a great place for a couple of relaxing days just north of Marsala and very close to the salt flats and the Isole dello Stagnone di Marsala. The room was large with an attached salon and an almost "roman" bathroom. Lovely! The villa has a large garden, and breakfast is served under a pergola of a separate structure. Breakfast items are varied and plentiful. I really liked the place and the proprietors were very pleasant. Should I be back in the area, I'd stay there again."

"We are vey puzzled about our 3 nights stay at Villa Carlo. The staff was very helpful and proactive. The minute we were getting to the breakfast restaurant, our cappuccino was prepared without us asking! This was the best breakfast amongst the 6 hotels we stayed at. A fantastic offering, so well presented, with an unbelievable number of choices for salty or sweet and fruits. The quality was well above standard. Even the cutlery and plates were fancy! The problem is really with the bathroom....

"This is a good hotel that needs some plaster repairs and some serious improvement in their hours of service in their restaurant. Sometimes their restaurant was open for dinner, often not. Never for lunch. I believe that most of the time it was open for dinner was because a couple of kids sports teams were there and they were contracted to feed them. The menu was dreadfully restricted even then. It was also cold in the restaurant and hallways, but I find that common in most of Europe and...

"The staff was very rude. Became angry with me numerous times because I speak English and they spoke very little. Wifi didn't work, and they did nothing to resolve it. Tv didn't work. Shower so small , u couldn't turn around in it. We left after one night and stayed somewhere else. Terrible hotel!"
