"Requested early check in due to a function, received a call at 12 that my cottage was ready. A perfect little cottage for single or couple. Thoroughly enjoyed a relaxed 2 night stay, beautiful lake views and walks, convenience grocery and take away close by. "

"Easy check in. Lovely room and extremely comfortable king sized bed. Nice to have breakfast included in the tariff. "

"It was an older place but clean and beds where nice .only thing the door was hard to get key in and out no complaints here .we would stay again .easy check in .we asked to get checked in two hours before check in as we had a function .so very helpful and accommodating.very much appreciated . "

"T who runs the place is the most helpful knowledgeable person you'll come across. Makes you feel so welcome, nothing is a problem. Great facilities, it's like a house, as in it's got all you might need. I have had a most enjoyable stay. I wish them some busyness because they deserve it. Just not when I come back to stay (from Christchurch) lol. All the best, if I'm ever in the area I'm staying here again! "

"The historic character and ambiance was charming. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent food in the bistro. We did not stay in the main building but in a very small room at the back of the inn. The dated room did not have WIFI or a TV but it was clean, the shower was good and the room was quiet. Definitely needs new mattresses as you could feel the springs. All in all a good place for a short stay."
