"Our stay was great, the staff was super friendly and helpful at all times of the day. The pool was great as well, the entertainment staff did a good job keeping the crowd alive in the heat. The only thing I’d like to see different is the variety of food. A lot of American food, my family was expecting more Mexicans dishes."

"We usually avoid AI hotels due to the usual loud music and organized pool/beach activities. This hotel's website uses words like peaceful and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city We checked in during the Mexico/South Africa Fifa world cup opener. Noise and distraction were expected. We had booked a jr suite where we could "enjoy the beautiful scenery of Puerto Morelos, which combines nature with the picturesque streets .." We, regrettably, were given a pool view room, close to both the pool bar and the lobby bar (our worst nightmare!) No privacy and loud, with music from both the pool bar and lobby bar (?) Happy the music stopped by 9:00 pm. We asked for, and we're given a different quieter room by 4:00 pm the next day. This new room was what we had expected, on the quiet side of the hotel, facing the jungle. Too bad, we were only here for two nights. The food here is wonderful! The staff friendly and helpful. The beach is beautiful. The rooms are lovely and comfortable but definitely showing wear and tear. The corridor to our room had carpeting lifting from the floor, a very loud closing door (easy fix!) and it was dark. Breakfast in the dining room would be far more pleasant if there wasn't two different music sources playing at the same time (spa/yoga music vs reggae) Great staff, beautiful location, comfortable rooms but noisy (they had a DJ setup for pool exercises) Just not the calm, relaxing experience we had hoped for."

"Have you ever had a perfect vacation? Pearl was one of those experiences. The room was comfortable and always clean. The food was so tasty and plentiful. Reviews of other resorts mention watered down drinks and cheap liquor. You’ll not find that here. Top shelf brands and skilled bartenders. Other guests were a diverse lot from around the world. The average age one week was 35-45 and the next week was 45-55. Special thanks to our concierge Camila for making the trip so special."

"We’ve stayed here several times. Always book because you can’t beat the location and it’s one of the only properties on the beach with loungers and shade. It’s a great value for that. It is very basic and budget like other reviews mention. We were aware of that but as mentioned here a little upkeep would go a long way. Replace lightbulbs, some fresh bedding, paint, shower and toilet updates, raking the lounger area and keeping it clean… Our main issue this trip is that there isn’t any security on the property so random people come and use the private lounger area and leave trash behind and a few nights kids would be out there drinking and playing music until really late. Don’t really want to be out on the balcony with that going on. No one comes to clean and the trash was there for days. I don’t know if this is a low season or staffing issue (although we’ve been in May and June before) but it is unfortunate to see such a cute place with huge potential deteriorating."
